Weekly Update Week 18

AL East-What a week. The tables have turned in Red Sox Nation. The Yankees are on top of the AL East, but I would not celebrate too quickly. The key for the Yankees this week is to win a few of the games. The Rays are the silent killers in the division race and other than CC Sabathia the pitchers are pretty even. Burnett is still not a guarantee and Chamberlain is too young. As for the Red Sox, the A's and Orioles are not so great. Everyone gets an occasional easy week. AL Central-I am personally cheering for the White Sox in this race. Detroit is on top of the division though. Minnesota is still in the race! I can not stand the Twins most of the time, but I would like Mauer to improve his team. Kansas City will need to have a lot more than a Grieke to have any chance. AL West-I would like the Rangers to take the wild card. Not only to knock the Sox out, but I like Hamilton and with Nolan Ryan in the front office the Rangers are a new team this year. The Angels are just good! NL East-I think the Phillies have that division wrapped up in a package. Everyday the Mets look sadder. The Marlins could trade for Roy Halladay. I do not know who they would give to Toronto. NL Central-This is another division where things have changed. Cubbies! The Chicago Cubs are on top. I did not realize what that meant to the Cards. You see the team in second place is already two and a half games out of the wild card. NL West-The Dodgers also have their division clinched. Colorado and San Fran will be battling into September for second place. I am personally cheering for Colorado.
